Water based or "Aqua" Yoga is specifically tailored to individuals who are hypermobile or are prone to injuries in more weight-bearing poses. Sorcha's approach here is heavily informed by her work with individuals with dis/abilities. Research has shown that doing Yoga in the water can ameliorate Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI), Frozen Shoulder and Tennis Elbow. The resistance and grounding power of water is also known to help with anxiety, hyperactivity and over-exertion. Sorcha only offers this type of Yoga in private individual or small group sessions.
